Blurbs are open-ended, arbitrary blocks of HTML markup that can be used in a flexible manner.

While many of the content types in LiveWhale address a very particular need (such as events), blurbs fills a gap where dynamic content is needed for other purposes.

Blurb types can be defined, such as “Alerts”, “Did you know?”, etc. By creating blurbs within the types you have defined, it is possible to display special features, such as unique facts about your institution, either as a list, rotating through a series, or selected randomly.

A well thought out blurb-driven feature can add that extra richness and dynamism to an otherwise static site.
