A Panel Discussion On: Protest Cycles and Repression in Iran

Please join the Iranian Studies Initiative (ISI) for a discussion on the rise of social justice protests in Iran with Narges Bajoghli (Johns Hopkins University), Manata Hashemi (University of Oklahoma), M. Ali Kadivar (Boston College), and moderator Peyman Jafari (Princeton University). Panelists will reflect on the social make-up of the protests, nature of the grievances, and the State’s harsh repression of the protest movements. They will also situate Iran’s protests in relation to global protests and the rise of social justice in the region.
