If you attach an email address to your LiveWhale user, the CMS will send you email notifications about activity you’ve asked to be notified of:
- Form submission notifications
- Event RSVP notifications
- Page edit reminders
- Page change notifications
- Suggested content to your group(s)
- Bulletins (messages from administrators)
Receiving Email Notifications
- To receive email notifications, edit the settings for your user.
- Check the box Send notifications via e-mail. (Even you don’t check this, you’ll still receive bulletins from administrators.)
- Choose an option from the drop-down menu to receive all notifications or important notifications only.
- Click the Save settings button.
If you select “Important Notifications Only”
You will be notified when…
- Content is suggested to your group, either from another group or the public submission form
- Your events receive RSVPs
- CMS: Your forms receive submissions
- CMS: Pages you manage have a note added
- CMS: Pages you subscribe to are edited
- CMS: Pages you’ve asked for reminders about reach their scheduled time
If you select “All Notifications”
You will be notified in the above circumstances, as well as when…
- Your scheduled content is published or archived
- Content you’re linking to is hidden, unhidden, or deleted
- Your content suggestions are accepted or declined
Who receives email notifications?
When notifications are sent to a group (for sharing, RSVPs, etc.), you will receive the notification if that is your home group or one of your switch groups (i.e., “Additional groups this user can access”).
